The Sale
At the 2024 Great Southern Sale, Glenn had 2 horses on his shortlist - a Rubick colt (now named Mbube) and an Acrobat colt out of an All Too Hard dam named Musicmaker.
The Acrobat colt was the top pick of the sale on breeding.
Glenn watched the colt walk into the ring, when nerves got the better of him.
He didn’t bid and the colt got knocked down for $10k - purchased by Willow Park Stud.

The Pedigree
Disappointed with himself, Glenn went on to purchase the Rubick colt - Mbube, who was also beautifully bred, but this one lingered in Glenn’s mind for quite a while after the sale. Have a look at his pedigree and you’ll see why…

Willow Park Stud had the same idea as Glenn. They prepared him for the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, where he sold for $130,000 as a yearling to Kurrinda Bloodstock.

Now named “The Local”, the colt is currently unraced, but won a trial in convincing fashion recently.
He is definitely one to watch going forward!
